Sailing with an electric whisper boat

EcoRecreatie has two types of boats: the luxury Eco-sloop and the Aluminium Eco-boat.

Both whisper boats sail electrically. The Eco-sloop is suitable for up to 9 people and has cushions all around, a biminitop in the back of the boat (against sun and rain), two storage bins and a luxury wooden table for the boat. With this luxury Eco-sloop you can sail from 10:00 to 17:00. The price for a day rental is in the weekend and the holidays € 165, – per day and during the week, outside the holidays € 150, – per day. The sloops can also be rented in the time blocks from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00. The costs per time block are then respectively € 90, – for the morning and € 110, – for the afternoon.

The second type is the Aluminium Eco-boat. This lightweight boat is suitable for up to 7 people and is slightly less luxurious but also has storage compartments, cushions all around and a biminitop. There is no table on board. This boat is more robust and manoeuvrable than the sloops. The price for a day rental is in the weekend and the holidays € 140, – per day and during the week, outside the holidays € 130, – per day. This boat can also be rented for the time blocks 10.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 17.00. The costs per time block are then respectively € 80, – for the morning and € 100, – for the afternoon.

SAILING ROUTE

The luxury Eco-sloop and the Aluminium Eco-boat sail 6 to 7 km/h and from Arkel you sail past picturesque villages such as Kedichem, Heukelum and Oosterwijk to Leerdam. The maximum distance for a full day’s rental is fort Asperen. In a block of 3 hours you sail either back and forth to Gorinchem or the other way, just past Heukelum. In Gorinchem there is plenty to see and do. In the direction of Leerdam there are several places along the route to moor, stretch your legs, have lunch. In consultation we can arrange a small beer tasting at the tasting room in Heukelum during the weekend. You can have lunch at Hotel aan de Linge, Herberg de Lingehoeve, the glassworks in Leerdam and Fort Asperen (always check the opening hours). You can also get a delicious lunchbox from Carolinge or a snack board (with a delicious bottle of wine) to enjoy on the go. In Gorinchem there is plenty to see and do.
